Many countries have opened their borders to tourism following the deadliest phase of the pandemic. The following is a list of countries where Indians can go without being quarantined or subjected to any restrictions.

After being under the red-list zone for a long while, Indians finally started getting allowance to visit other countries. As the number of COVID-19 cases declines, many countries throughout the globe are lifting their bans and reopening their doors to international tourists. Not just Indians are allowed to travel and experience their favourite tourist sites, but many other countries that fell under the red list are now allowed to do so. Most nations do not require tourists to quarantine, but there is a catch: they must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide vaccine certificates when requested.

Two Southeast Asian countries, Singapore and Thailand, have also relaxed their travel restrictions, allowing Indians to visit for tourism in recent days. Now that the COVID-19 situation in India and other countries is under control, nine additional countries have chosen to enable Indian travellers to travel smoothly to their countries.

  1. Canada- In April 2021, after witnessing the worst circumstances of India owing to an increase in Covid 19 cases, Canada imposed restrictions and cancelled all direct flights from India. However, on September 22, Canada lifted the ban on commercial flights from India, and for the first time, passengers had carried from Delhi to Toronto. Passengers must have an RT-PCR report no older than 18 hours before boarding, according to the standards.
  2. The United States—since the start of Covid 19, the US has closed its doors and enforced an 18-month travel restriction on all visitors. The US government recently announced a relaxation of travel restrictions for more than 30 nations, citing reduced cases of Covid-19 as a reason. Having that said, Indians who wish to visit the country must show a negative RT-PCR test report taken no more than 72 hours before their departure date.
  1. Turkey: Recently, the Turkish Embassy has also announced the exemption of mandatory quarantine for fully vaccinated Indians upon the arrival of passengers in Turkey.
  1. Italy: After the declaration of several countries lifting bans on Indian tourists, Italy also decided to lift bans. Indians who had taken the two doses of the Covishield vaccine can get a Green Pass and will be allowed to travel.
  1. United Arab Emirates: Before the grand opening of the world’s biggest event, Expo 2020 Dubai, the UAE has also relaxed travel restrictions, allowing Indian visitors to enter the emirates by following the covid protocols. Travellers who wish to visit the country must show a negative RT-PCR test report taken no more than 48 hours before their departure date.
  1. UK: The British government has also lifted travel restrictions for Indians. Covishield, made by the Serum Institute, and Covaxin, made by Bharat Biotech, are not accepted by the country.
  1. Germany: By removing the limitations on Indian tourists, Germany has also opened its doors to tourism.
